🎵 John Farnham
John Farnham attended Yarraman Park school in Noble Park before further schooling in the Dandenong area. The local educational record places him in the district before the recording career that made his voice nationally familiar. An apprenticeship in plumbing preceded early pop success, while later years brought a major return to solo recording with Whispering Jack and You’re the Voice. The change of occupation was fairly decisive, although both careers require a good set of pipes. His local connection belongs to childhood and education, preceding the large stages and long touring career.
🏉 Adam Treloar
Adam Treloar played junior football at Noble Park before joining the Dandenong Stingrays and entering the AFL with Greater Western Sydney. His later career included Collingwood and the Western Bulldogs. In recalling his development, he credited competitive backyard games with his brother as part of the origin of his relentless approach. The local club was another important setting for that development, providing team football before the demands of the professional game. His story keeps the junior years visible behind a career more often described through trades, major matches and the pressures of elite competition.
